Qantas Group Procurement is seeking a dynamic Portfolio Manager SRM to join our team. In this role, you will be the linchpin in executing our supplier relationship management framework, ensuring that our technology suppliers not only meet our needs but also align with our vision for innovation and growth.
You will: lead the end-to-end management of relationships with key technology suppliers, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals; Drive supplier performance through continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data and analytics to ensure we receive top-tier service and innovation;
lead contract negotiations, securing competitive terms while fostering long-term, mutually beneficial relationships; Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier partnerships, ensuring resilience and continuity in our technology supply chain; and monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring they meet or exceed agreed-upon KPIs, and lead initiatives to address any issues or gaps.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will collaborate with senior internal stakeholders and suppliers to identify and implement progressive solutions that drive our business forward. You are an experienced commercial professional who can think strategically and have a track record of creating and delivering value within a large, complex, multinational business. You will think innovatively, have deep knowledge of supplier relationship + commercial management processes to challenge the status quo. As a leader, you will also provide coaching and mentoring to your team, fostering their growth and ensuring they deliver top-tier performance. You’ll have
- 10+ years of experience in supplier relationship management, preferably within the technology sector. You understand the nuances of tech procurement and have a track record of managing high-value supplier portfolios.
- A skilled negotiator who can secure favourable outcomes while maintaining strong, positive relationships.
- A passion for a forward-thinking approach always looking for ways to innovate and optimise.
- Strong leadership skills with an ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners will be key to your success.
- A high level of commercial acumen and extensive experience in engaging with suppliers
- Demonstrated the ability to influence and convince stakeholders, build effective business relationships with senior stakeholders
- Significant experience managing complex workloads and competing priorities, particularly in a commercial setting.
- Knowledge of airline and technology settings are highly beneficial
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
