**Our Client**
With over 100 years of experience, our client is a global leader in the manufacture of sub-systems for rail and commercial vehicles. Their state-of-the-art facility housed close to Sydney (Western Suburbs) provides original and aftermarket braking, doors, HVAC, and related products to various heavy industries across Australia.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
This role is primarily responsible for reviewing, supporting, and expediting local material and part requirements, with a focus on maintaining good supplier and inter-company relationships.
- Review system generated material planning data (generally in Microsoft Excel) to ensure appropriate levels of stock are maintained, scheduled, and expedited
- Manage and process purchase orders, stock transfers, warranty claims etc.
- Communicate with all relevant internal departments and freight forwarders in relation to lead times, delivery schedules, material shortages, system errors etc.
- Develop and manage relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Analyse and review supply chain data to identify and resolve issues.

**Skills and Experience**
- Purchasing, inventory control, shipping, warehousing and/or related experience
- Excellent interpersonal and supplier management skills
- Experience within rail, automotive, defence, manufacturing, mining, oil & gas, aerospace and/or other related heavy industries would be highly valued.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
