**Essential**:

- Tertiary Qualifications in Surveying or equivalent
- Experience in surveying using modern surveying instruments and technologies including GPS
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and achieve outcomes within budget and to defined time lines
- Proficient in the use of Computer Aided Design programs and related software packages (e.g. AutoCAD C3D, and Stringer)
- Strong customer/community service focus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to relate well to internal and external clients, report writing, and negotiation skills

**Desirable**:

- Experience in the investigation, and design of road, drainage, traffic, stormwater and environmental works
- Previous Local Government Experience
- Proficient in the use of Leica survey equipment including Total Stations and GPS
- To meet Council's WHS requirements and in accordance with Council's Covid-19 Safety Plans, this position has been identified via risk assessment to be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or provide evidence of an approved medical contraindication. If a medical contraindication certificate is provided, it will be assessed against a risk assessment and the decision of whether Council accepts the medical contraindication certificate, will be based on operational needs._
