The Business

Lendlease is one of the largest owners, operators and developers of retirement living communities in Australia, with a current portfolio of 75+ villages and over 17,000 residents calling our villages home.

The Role

Dee Why Gardens is currently seeking a Village Support Officer for our retirement village located within Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Our village comprises both Serviced Apartments and Independent Living Units (no Residential Aged Care).

Our residents are independent retirees who have sought the company and safety of living in a community of like-minded individuals with service provided that give them and their families the reassurance that they will be cared for if the need arises.

Duties will include responding to resident enquiries, overseeing our community facilities, conducting welfare checks on residents and referring them to our care consultant, assisting with our colourful village events, responding to call outs, undertaking first aid and initiating emergency services where required. Shifts will be a mixture of daytime shifts and afternoon sleepover shifts on a Casual basis (with the possibility of permanency). Additional assistance will be required for leave coverage.

About You- A current Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain)- The ability to make critical decisions and remain calm under pressure.- Be motivated and able to take initiative- Basic computer skills

Please note: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check, will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of April-October as well as provide proof of the COVID-19 Vaccination with supporting documentation prior to joining. For selected roles more physical in nature such as this position, pre-employment medical assessments may also be required prior to any employment offers being made.
