The Company

A well-known corporate bank with a growing branch presence in Australia, this bank has seen consistent growth in the Sydney market and are looking to bring a driven and technically skilled line 1 risk professional into their team. Playing a pivotal part in a highly visible risk project this role will challenge you, and give great exposure to a key risk uplift program within the bank.

The Role

As the Line 1 Risk specialist, you will play a key role in the risk uplift project for the bank. Your duties would include, but are not limited to:

- Assist in developing a comprehensive risk management framework
- Partner with the business to train and develop their business leaders
- Ensuring effective controls are in place and managed correctly
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of risk exposures and the rationale behind risk management decisions

Your profile is as follows:

- Strong banking/financial services risk experience.
- Prior risk experience in corporate or institutional banking.
- Excellent communication and business partnering skills.
- Degree in Banking, Commerce, Law or related.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
