**Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage in multiple APS6 Project Officer position for a 12-month assignment with potential extension in Adelaide CBD.**

**About the Team**
The Service Guidance and Practice Branch is a respectful, collaborative branch. We work with key stakeholders across the National Disability Insurance Agency to support the implementation of policy and system enhancements, and the development, implementation and promotion of consistent guidance to Planners and Partners in the Community (PiTC).

A large focus for our branch includes the development and review of Our Guidelines.

If you are successful in this position, you will be working on a variety of guidance materials which bring legislation, policy, process and system to life, translating this into guidance for:

- Participants and stakeholders, explaining how we make decisions and how we operate
- Front line NDIA and partner staff, to operate and deliver services to NDIS participants

You will need to initiate, establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

The Service Guidance and Practice Branch is responsible for developing standards, process, policies and protocols to drive consistency with decision making and service delivery practice.

**About the Role**

**The APS6 Project Officer** is accountable under limited direction to undertake complex work that is guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents.

The position is a team leadership position within the NDIA and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across a range of activities. It will be required to provide the leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the Team Membership within the positions assigned Work Area.

**The APS6 Project Officer **will be required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. It may be required to coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the NDIA’s objectives to “build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme”.

**Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to**:

- Developing and managing project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
- Providing specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders.
- Performing independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant project activities.
- Coordinating regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
- Preparing draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
- Monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.
- Identifying and assisting with the management of project risks, issues and benefits.
- Contributing to project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.

**Key skills required for role/s**:

- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex information into clear, easy to understand reports.
- Ability to undertake data and system analysis to gather evidence-based information and provide advice to the branch about opportunities for improvement
- implementing work plans, setting tasks and priorities and managing workflow.
- Managing multiple priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy, meeting defined timeframes and performing other duties as requested.
- Ability to work under limited direction, guided by policies, accepted standards and precedents.

**Desirable skills to have for the role/s**:

- Financial acumen
- Ability to solve complex problems by gathering detailed information, analysing and investigating options and outcomes. Understanding of the NDIS and the NDIS Act 2013.
