The Salvation Army Youth Services offer an integrated suite of programs engaging with young people across Australia. Our services create intentional avenues for young people to explore opportunities, build support networks, and access, participate and contribute to their communities. Youth services provide a diverse range of programs which include housing and homelessness, driver training, education, employment, and training, AOD support, social and community activities, specialist therapeutic responses and youth justice programs.

About the role
- We are seeking a values-driven and proactive State Practice Lead to support the state manager and services in the implementation and ongoing delivery of the Model of Care.
- Reporting to the State Manager Youth Services, this is a permanent, full-time position based in Surry Hills, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 7.
- You will successfully- Support services to implement and deliver all aspects of the Model of Care and supporting frameworks.-
- Develop and deliver practice and development plans for all services.-
- Build the capability of staff to respond to young people in line with the Model of Care.-
- Assist the state manager to identify areas of risk or need and develop strategies to address.-
- Provide expertise in the development of service delivery models for tenders and new opportunities.-
- Foster an environment across all services that values learning, transparency, performance, professional curiosity, quality service and continuous improvement.-
- Utilise mentoring, coaching and other strategies to assist staff in the development of skills and models.-
- Work collaboratively with all State Practice Leads.- You will have- Degree qualification in psychology, social work or related fields.-
- Postgraduate qualification would be highly regarded.-
- At least 7 years experience in delivering therapeutic interventions with young people, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.-
- A strong understanding of therapeutic frameworks relating to young people and their implementation in practice Understanding of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) would be highly regarded.-
- Experience in change management.-
- Experience in implementing service models and frameworks.-
- Demonstrated experience in delivering reflective practice in both group and individual settings.-
- A current NSW driver's licence.-
- A current NSW Working with Children's Check.- What we offer
