**About the role**:
Provide educational leadership to staff and students across the plumbing department programs and support the operational activities for the delivery lifecycle including quality assurance, student and staff issues, student progress, staff and student recruitment, teacher management and program financial management.

**Duties**:

- Provide educational leadership at a high level for staff and students within the program/s on educational related matters to develop a high performing and engaged team.
- Coordinate courses relevant to the department as delegated by the Manager.
- Identify and develop requirements for a professional development plan for Lead teachers and teachers’ in line with future needs of the department.
- Promote Department programs and training services through activities including information sessions and expos.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Melbourne Polytechnic’s key stakeholders.
- Provide advice in the preparation of program budgets to the Manager.

**Skills and experience required**:

- Highly developed educational leadership expertise plus extensive management and/or teaching skills.
- Demonstrated experience managing and motivating a high performance team of teaching employees, managing performance, facilitating development and providing feedback and coaching improving productivity and performance.
