This is a recruitment drive for several Program Worker positions
We have exciting opportunities for people who are passionate about supporting others especially those struggling with mental illness, alcohol and other drugs use, and thoughts of suicide. Social Futures is establishing two new-wellbeing hubs and expanding one of its programs in the Upper Hunter. All three programs are recruiting for program workers.

**Position: Intake and Assessment Worker**
Program: Head to Health Upper Hunter
Description: Free mental health support service for people aged 18+ experiencing distress. Provides a welcoming entry point for engagement, assessment, care planning and coordination, and recovery-oriented interventions.
Location: Muswellbrook with outreach to Singleton and Scone
Employment: Full-time and part time positions available
Number of positions: Three
SCHADS Level: 4.1

**Position: Support Navigator**
Program: AOD Hub
Description: Specialist AOD services to reduce the harm related to alcohol and other drug use and to improve the health, wellbeing and social outcomes of young people, pregnant people and parents with young children.
Location: Singleton

Description: Specialist AOD services to reduce the harm related to alcohol and other drug use and to improve the health, wellbeing and social outcomes of young people, pregnant people and parents with young children.

**Position: Program Worker**
Program: Care Connect
Description: Service that supports and provides encouragement and follow up via outreach visits to prevent suicidal and self-harm behaviour.
Location: Maitland with outreach to Upper Hunter
Employment: Part-time

- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in health, psychology, social work, social science or social welfare, health promotion or similar
- At least 2 years experience providing high quality customer-centred support in a community welfare service or similar setting.
- Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with all people to ensure effective relationships.
- Demonstrated well-developed organisational, time management and administrative skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining professional boundaries while engaging in person-centred work.
