Farm Hand

This farm in the northern cropping region of WA has a permanent position available for a Farm Hand. The farm produces crops, wool, and lamb.

Duties include operating large modern Ag machinery on a controlled traffic system to prepare paddocks, seed, fertilize, spray, and harvest a variety of crops, mechanical servicing, workshop and general maintenance and some sheep work. Self-propelled broad acre spraying experience, a current chemical accreditation and an open HR licence are preferred.

The farm works routine hours and can flex to your needs, but occasional weekend work may be required and the farm works on weekends during busy periods.

The position is best suited to a worker with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar position who has a passion for Agriculture, strong initiative, plenty of energy and enjoys working in a small team environment which strives for excellence.

Commencing with three months’ probation, the position is offered as a package including hourly rate, accommodation on farm, a work vehicle and utilities including fast reliable internet. A school bus to local primary and high schools stops at the gate and thriving local town Moora offers kindergarten, day care, medical, dental, weekly shopping, sports, and recreation including a swimming pool to cool off in summer. Small pets are welcome, and work is available in the area for a partner. And it’s an easy drive to Perth for all your other needs.
