An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Rural City of Murray Bridge for a suitably qualified person to join our WHS & Risk Team in senior role as the Team Leader - WHS & Risk Management.

**Position Overview**

The Team Leader WHS & Risk Management will oversee the management, planning, and implementation of workplace health and safety and risk management initiatives within the organisation.

As a key advocate for workplace health and safety, you will prioritise enhancing awareness, identifying risks and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and safe workplace practices.

You will play a vital role in ensuring that our operations meet the highest standards of compliance to legislation, policy and procedures, through advice, coaching, monitoring and reporting.

**Qualifications**

Tertiary qualifications in Risk Management, Work Health and Safety or Business Administration or equivalent experience are essential for this role.

**Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Manager Corporate Services, responsibilities include:

- Deliver a rolling internal audit plan including assessment and reporting of actions.
- Provide operational advice on risk management and assurance.
- Oversee delivery of Council’s WHS program including ensuring systems and processes for meet legislative obligations and reflect industry best practices.
- Development of WHS and risk management frameworks, policies and associated documents.

The position is offered as a full time, two year contract in accordance with the South Australian Municipal Salaried Officers Award and Council’s current Enterprise Agreement within an annual salary range of $111,515 to $118,390 dependent upon skills, knowledge and experience.
