**About the role**:
This role is responsible for identifying and implementing commercial strategies to ensure the Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre is high performing, maximising profitability and meeting customer and community expectations. The role will collaborate with the Director in the strategic direction, development, and implementation of a range of projects and activities including the planned redevelopment of the Centre.
Role accountabilities include:
- Foster an organisational culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
- Prioritise positive and proactive communication with the community.
- Assist in managing human, physical, financial, and information resources effectively.
- Develop and empower staff while establishing clear performance indicators.
- Oversee staff performance and implement improvements in service quality and efficiency.
- Manage contracts and contractors efficiently.
- Contribute to strategic and operational planning, budget management, and asset maintenance.
- Ensure the center's facilities are clean, safe, and attractive.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and implement risk management practices.
- Provide qualified advice to the council regarding DKHAC matters.
- Ensure timely and within-budget delivery of projects and compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
