We have an exciting opportunity for an **Early Childhood Educator (Certificate III) **to join our positive and inclusive team at **Ocean St Kindergarten**, based in **Kogarah**, within Councils Community and Culture Directorate.

**What We Offer**

**About The Role**

The Early Childhood Educator (Certificate III) is expected to provide a friendly, secure, and stimulating learning environment for all children attending the Centre and to assist in the planning and implementation of programmes which meet the developmental, cultural and special needs of children in care. You will also be providing support to and ensuring regular communication with parents of children in care, you will enjoy creating an environment where every child's early years set the stage for a lifetime of curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.
- Certificate III in Children’s Services
- Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Certificates, with at least 6 months until expiry
- Approved current Working with Children Check, with at least 6 months until expiry
- NSW Department of Education and Communities approved Child Protection Training Certificate
- Previous experience working with children 0-5 years of age, in a Childcare Centre setting
- Sound oral communication skills and ability to relate well to children, parents, staff, volunteers and the community
- Ability to work as a member of a team, and to provide role-modelling as appropriate
- Understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements
- Demonstrated ability or willingness to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team

**About Georges River Council’s Early Learning Services**

Georges River Council owns and operates six Early Learning Services strategically located across our LGA at Beverley Hills, Carss Park, Kogarah, Penshurst, South Hurstville, and Oatley West. We educate and care for approximately 400 children and our educators take pride in their Early Childhood Education profession.

Our team have been recognised for excellence in Environmental Programming and we are proud of our Reconciliation Action Plan which is developed in consultation with Aboriginal staff and community members.

We adhere to the guidelines, practices and regulations surrounding the National Quality Standards (NQS) and regularly review Quality Improvement Plans. Our services strive for excellence with two of our services receiving an overall exceeding rating by ACECQA.
