**About the role**
The Advisor PalAssist is responsible for responding to the needs of clients accessing PalAssist, a Queensland wide Palliative Care telephone and e-support service. You will provide accurate information, referral advice and support to those dealing with a life limiting illness, their families, friends, and caregivers, in addition to providing information and support to health professionals.
This role is a permanent, part-time position working 3 days per week, including weekends (16.5 hours per week).
You will have worked in a generalist or specialist palliative care setting and have a broad understanding of the challenges faced by clients and their families.
**Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills**
**Essential Skills**:
- Qualifications in Nursing or Allied Health
- Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration or membership of respective professional body.
- Demonstrated clinical experience or post-graduate qualifications in Palliative Care.
- A broad understanding of the issues faced by clients with a life-limiting or terminal illness, their family and friends, including palliative and end-of-care.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and resilience.
- Organisational skills, including the ability to organise, manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
- Commitment to continual professional development.
