**About the role**

The Advisor PalAssist responds to the needs of clients accessing PalAssist, a Queensland wide Palliative Care telephone and e-support service. You will provide accurate and evidence-based information, referral advice and support to those dealing with any life limiting illness, including their families, friends, and caregivers. In addition, this role acts to provide information and support to health professionals, to aid in client care.

This role is a permanent part time position working 7 days per fortnight on a rotational roster, including weekends (38.5 hours per fortnight).

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Qualifications in Nursing or Allied Health.
- Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration or membership of respective professional body.
- Demonstrated clinical experience and/or post-graduate qualifications in palliative care.
- A broad understanding of the issues faced by clients with a life-limiting illness, their family and friends, including during palliative and end-of-life-care.
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication and written skills.
- A commitment to implement and maintain quality activities, aimed at improved service delivery.
- Commitment to continual professional development.
- Demonstrated experience in working with case record management systems will be well regarded.
