The Role

Are you passionate about data-driven storytelling and cultural insights? Do you love diving into research to uncover compelling consumer and media trends? As a Consumer & Media Insights Analyst at SBS Media, you’ll play a crucial role in bringing our diverse audiences to life for advertisers, media agencies, and brand clients.

In this role, you’ll work closely with our sales and strategy teams, using first-party data, third-party research, and your analytical mindset to craft compelling narratives that showcase the power of SBS audiences. From deep-dive audience reports to market insights on key industries, you’ll help shape commercial strategies and inspire clients to connect with Australia’s most culturally diverse media network.

About you

We’re looking for an analytical thinker and compelling storyteller who thrives on uncovering insights and making data meaningful. You’ll have:

- 5+ years of experience in research, strategy, or insights'”ideally within media, marketing, advertising or consumer research.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in tools like Excel and data visualization.
- A passion for consumer research and a deep interest in understanding audience behaviour.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear, compelling insights.
- Experience with media research tools (e.g., Nielsen CMV) or a willingness and aptitude for learning new platforms quickly.
- A collaborative mindset, working closely with sales, strategy, and insights teams to drive commercial impact.
