**About the role**

We are excited to offer two full-time roles in the Works team. One is based at the Moruya Depot and one at the Batemans Bay Depot. The successful applicants will competently operate mobile items of plant and attachments and assist the Works Supervisor and Assistant Works Supervisors to achieve a safe and well organised project/ activity.

Your main duties will include:

- Proficiently operating and maintaining various items of plants and attachments, to the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Assisting in the preparation and completion of work projects for construction works or maintenance activities.
- Supporting other staff, contractors and sub-contractors involved in construction and maintenance projects and providing customer service to the public.
- Actively undertaking physical labouring and other construction or maintenance manual activities.
- Participating in the continuous improvement of Council’s construction and maintenance activities and partaking in team performance reviews.

Total remuneration for the role is in the range $2,494.11 to $2,604.57 gross per fortnight consisting of:

- $2,210.39 to $2,309.90 base salary
- $34.96 Adverse Working Conditions Allowance
- $247.16 to $258.11 superannuation (calculated at 11%)

**About you**

You enjoy working in the outdoors and have experience in the operation of various plant items. Your can-do attitude, common sense and commitment to achieve work program obligations will see you be successful in this role.
- Demonstrated relevant experience in the construction and maintenance work environment.
- Understanding and experience in plant capabilities and outputs.
- Willingness to undertake physical labouring tasks.
- Willingness to complete recognised training opportunities.
- Elementary oral, written, literacy and numeracy skills.
