**About the role**

This is a full-time role based at the Batemans Bay Depot, as part of Council’s Works team. Our Plant Operator/Labourer will competently operate a range of machinery and plant items and perform physical labour tasks for construction/maintenance projects. Main duties will include:

- Operating and maintaining plants items and machinery.
- Completing construction and maintenance projects alongside the Works team, contractors and sub-contractors.
- Doing your part in the ongoing improvement and quality of Council’s construction and maintenance services.

**Salary Information**

Total remuneration for the role is in the range $2,494.11 to $2,604.57 gross per fortnight consisting of:

- $2,210.39 to $2,309.90 base salary
- $36.56 Adverse Working Conditions Allowance
- $247.16 to $258.11 superannuation (calculated at 11%)

**About you**
- Ability to do physical labour tasks, be a team-player and communicate easily with contractors and the public.
- Experience in a construction/maintenance environment with awareness of machinery limitations and productivity.
- Good literacy/numeracy skills and commitment to taking part in further training offered by Council.
