We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Communications Advisor - Healthy Communities. This dynamic and high energy position oversees marketing and communications for our bustling Recreation Centres, Recreation Services, Health Promotion and Seniors Centre functions.
You will be responsible for:
- Planning, developing, managing, implementing and evaluating strategic and tactical campaigns within the Healthy Communities section that supports the City of Mandurah’s Strategic Community Plan, Corporate Plan, Seniors Centre, Recreation Centres, Recreation Services and Public Health Plan strategies and business objectives
- Providing advice on strategic and tactical communications on new and major projects to support the achievement of business unit objectives
- Developing, managing and evaluating new and business as usual campaigns within the Healthy Communities section.
To be successful you will have:
- A degree in Communications or related area
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a similar role
- Exceptional interpersonal, customer service and relationship building skills
- Well-developed strategic communications development skills
- Well-developed planning, campaign, and brand management skills
- Sound understanding of media issues
- Strong digital communications skills
- Experience and knowledge of marketing and communications strategies
- Effective negotiation skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong time management, organisational skills and the ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to complete a drug and alcohol test
This permanent full-time Level Six (6) position attracts a salary range of $95,019 to $102,693 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
