**About ARWA**
- The Australian Radioactive Waste Agency (ARWA) is leading the responsible management and safe storage and disposal of Australia’s radioactive waste. A key element of ARWA’s program is the delivery of the National Radioactive Waste Management Facility which will provide a purpose-built, engineered solution to manage radioactive waste from sources such as nuclear medicine production.- We are seeking people who have the skills and experience to put Australia at the forefront of the global nuclear waste management field. The key duties of the position include:

- Leading the development and implementation of the international relations strategy, aligned with the ARWA’s strategic objectives to promote engagement with stakeholders.
- Developing and implementing effective communication plans and engagement activities to build and maintain positive relationships, including identifying key stakeholder needs.
- Representing ARWA at national and international events and conferences and engage with key stakeholders to promote the ARWA's strategic direction.
- Developing and coordinating information packs for business leaders who are travelling to international conferences and events, ensuring they have all the necessary information and resources for international travel.
- Planning and managing international events, including logistics, program development, and participant engagement, to ensure successful outcomes.
- Identifying and assessing opportunities for collaboration in the international arena, aligned with the ARWA's strategic objectives.
- Supporting the negotiations and facilitate the development of strategic relationships with international networks and industry bodies.
- Developing and implementing risk management strategies and processes to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to the ARWA's international operations and engagements.- Strong communication skills, including written and verbal communication, and the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience working in the field of international relations, either through previous employment, internships, or volunteer work. This experience should highlight a solid understanding of global
