We currently have an exciting opportunity as a RIM/CIM Procurement Officer (Repairable Item/Consumable Item) within our Maritime Sustainment teambased in Garden Island, NSW. This role provides the flexibility of a hybrid working arrangement and a 9 day fortnight full-time working option for the right talent.

**Your new role**:
Reporting to the Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) Supply Support Operations Manager, you will be responsible to establish, place and manage the appropriate procurement arrangements with capable suppliers to deliver cost, schedule, quality and safety requirements of the business.
This also includes building effective relationship and managing performance of the suppliers to maximize value and minimize risk.

**More specifically, you will**:

- Generating and completing all requested MILIS and Oracle reports
- Preparation and development of all customer KPI reporting that is specific to the CLCM Contract, analyze reports to enhance performance and seek continuous improvement within the Supply/Support domain
- Provide MILIS Subject Matter Expert (SME) support, training team members where required to effectively utilize and operate the toolset
- Developing, mentoring and training new employees in MILIS/ESCM (Electronic Supply Chain Management)
- Onboard new employees into appropriate training courses and supply chain systems
- Assist with purchasing in MILIS as required, receipting, dispatching, generating repair request, assisting in the DCE ExtMP material preparation, staging and coordination
- Manage stocking (including Consumable Items (CI)), conducting supply support activities including codification actions, priority demand management and obsolesce management
- Provide assistance with performance substitution checks for alternative parts, maintain and coordinate investigations on Repairable Items (RI) and report on them as required
- Liaise with customers and coordinate internal resources within the Supply Support function to ensure service levels and demands are met timely and cost efficient
- Manage the scheduling of spares to support Platform Installer activities and ensure maximum/minimum stock levels are maintained
- Have an understanding of Defence Urgent Defect (URDEF) procedures and the use of LNIDS in this process

**About you**:
**As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:

- Demonstrated relevant experience in strategic procurement especially in managing end to end procurement activity in a complex environment is essential
- Strong oral and written communication skill with an ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer requirements
- Strong stakeholder management skill, results orientated, focusing on the key objectives and striving for effective outcomes
- Maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external DCE stakeholders
- Proficient user of MS Office package and Oracle / MILIS experience is desirable with an ability to run reports and interpret data

Whilst not essential, degree qualification in procurement/supply chain or commercial discipline, with professional procurement qualification or a membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) is desirable
