**What does a Graduate Zoologist in Environment do?**
- Actively participate in terrestrial fauna field surveys in a range of remote and diverse environments across Western Australia (and potentially interstate).
- Analyse ecological data and prepare clear, concise technical reports with guidance.
- Preparation of proposals, budgets, and tender documents with guidance.
- Opportunity to expand your knowledge across various ecological disciplines (aquatic ecology, terrestrial ecology, marine science, environmental impact assessment, mine closure and rehabilitation), and
- Undertake training and development to drive your career progression.

**Qualifications**

**About You**
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years post-graduation
- A passion for learning, experience, and demonstrated enthusiasm for zoology (outside of university).
- Ability to undertake extended surveys, generally up to two weeks at a time in remote locations across WA.
- Keen birding experience would be of interest but not essential.
- Keen terrestrial invertebrate experience would be of interest but not essential.
- A solid level of physical fitness and ability to pass a fitness assessment for field surveys.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- GIS and spatial ecology experience will be seen as beneficial, but not essential.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and willingness to work across teams.
- Be eligible to work in Australia with a current C class unrestricted (manual) drivers’ licence.
- An interest in embracing innovation to continually improve the work we do.
