The Laboratories Branch within the Department of Health and Aged Care is seeking a Sterilisation and Decontamination Technician. The role supports the testing programmes undertaken at the new purpose-built laboratories for the Therapeutic Goods Administration.
As a Sterilisation and Decontamination Technician you will work in a small team engaged in the preparation, sterilisation and quality control of microbiological culture media and reagents, decontamination of biohazardous waste and reprocessing and sterilisation of laboratory equipment. You will be responsible for performing this work in accordance with Laboratory Quality Systems and ISO 17025 and OGTR accreditation requirements. You will assist with performance qualification studies for laboratory equipment and with administrative tasks associated with laboratory operations.
