**What will you be doing day to day?**
As a Mechanical Fitter (Turbine & Pumps), your responsibilities day to day will include:
- Disassemble mechanical equipment noting parts identification, configuration, and condition aligned with QA procedures.
- Balance mechanical assemblies using dynamic balancing equipment.
- Carry out mechanical repairs to Shafts, Journals and Housings as required.
- Work on high-speed rotating equipment, especially steam and Gas turbines
- Perform de-blading and re-blading of steam and gas turbines.
- Read measuring equipment and correctly fill out check sheets.
- Measure for or note proper replacement parts.
- Replace or repair worn or defective mechanical assemblies including: shafts, gears, seals, impellers fans, bearing fits.
- Clean mechanical equipment assemblies as needed using various methods and steps, including: parts, washers, steamers, etc.;
**What you will bring to Sulzer**:
To be a successful Mechanical Fitter (Turbine & Pumps) at our Maitland Service Centre, you will ideally have:
- Trade Certificate III Fitter & Turner or similar.
- Demonstrated experience in Mechanical fitting large equipment such pumps, fans, gear boxes and turbines.
- Strong attention to detail and precision
