**About the Role**:
The Identity and Access Management Lead will support the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in the end-to-end management of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) function within Digital and Campus Services. An exciting opportunity within a dynamic and highly motivated professional team to lead, design, deliver and manage Identity & Access Management capability and services within the University. You will be the technical SME guiding a team of technical and operational resources to ensure all capabilities supporting the right access, at the right time and for the right systems are managed, monitored and controlled to protect university systems and information assets.
- Manage the implementation of the University’s digital IAM strategy and ensure it’s aligned with the University’s related policies and procedures, regulatory and state and federal legislative compliance.
- Work closely with the CISO and other key stakeholders to develop an IAM roadmap that defines a phased approach, activities, timelines, effort, and investments that considers transitioning from current to target state.
- Collaborate with other cyber functions to ensure transparency across risk, awareness, design and operations to ensure and escalation points are established and the team is aware and across IAM initiatives
- Establish a framework to govern and manage access across non-human identities such Internet of Things (IoT) and Application Program Interface (API).
- Manage the collection and analysis of business and technical requirements to develop enterprise-wide IAM standards and processes.
- Work closely with the CISO to ensure that IAM function is responsive to governance needs of the University and security is upheld in an efficient manner.
- Deliver exceptional service and stakeholder management and continuously improve the delivery of identity and access management services.
- Prepare and disseminate high-level internal written communications and reports to keep senior leadership informed about identity and access management issues and conduct training as required on related policies, procedures and standards.
- Continuously assess define, document and deliver target state Identity reference Architecture utilising zero-trust security principles and context of the higher education sector.
- Manage governance and management of privileged accounts across the University, uplift security policies, standards and processes that explicitly cover privileged accounts and IT administrator access to critical systems.
- Provide high-quality and timely specialist advice/expertise on learning technologies and the learning environment.
- Rationalise use of technologies and platforms support IAM processes including SSO, Password Management, Identity and Access provisioning, governance and reporting.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers, and also perform periodic market research on the development of trends and products in this space.
- Provide governance and guidance to IAM staff to ensure key objectives of the team are met
This position is a full-time continuing role working 36.75 hours per week.
