We're seeking a Grounds Maintenance Employee who will be responsible to support the other services of a school, including but not limited to cleaning, building and grounds maintenance, retailing - canteens, uniform shops; and bus driving and vehicle maintenance.

The position is a full-time permanent position for 76 hours per fortnight with 4 weeks annual leave per year and commencing as soon as possible.

The successful applicant will undertake day-to-day maintenance and minor works of the College facilities.

Your responsibilities will include;
- Undertaking general gardening tasks including preparation and planting procedures
- Undertake any other duties as requested by the Principal and/or Principal’s Delegate. This may include operation of the school’s security system when commencing/finishing a shift

It is essential that you;
- Have demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Have demonstrated ability to follow direction, prioritise and meet set deadlines
- Have demonstrated interpersonal skills in working with a range of personnel
- Support the mission, teachings and ethos of the Catholic Church’s work in schools
- Be able to respond to all College facility related issues including minor repairs and general maintenance requirements.
- Keep grounds and buildings presentable, clean, safe and useable for students and staff.
- Lift and move equipment and furniture.
- Set up for College events.\Supervise and coordinate contractors as required.
- Occasional garden and lawn maintenance
- Work with livestock on the College's agriculture plot.
- Have knowledge of and the willingness to observe and implement WHS policies and practices.
- Must hold a current driver’s licence.
- Have excellent Communications skills.
- The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Pre-Employment Health Assessment. LF Forklift license desirable but not necessary.A relevant trade qualification is desirable, but not necessary.
