The opportunity
Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a Software Technical Lead to join our team based in Brisbane in a permanent full-time role. In this highly sought-after position, you will be responsible for coordinating a portfolio of software engineering activities within the System, Software and Avionics department. In addition to coordinating activities, you will have the skills and ability to perform engineering activities assigned by the Team Lead.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Management of technical activities within your assigned projects.
- Providing technical support as required to the team members allocated to your projects.
- Developing technical offers including defining scope of work and estimating engineering effort
- Providing input to the Team Lead about resource requirements to allow the Team Lead to adjust headcount between the assigned projects.
- Escalation of technical issues to the Team Lead.
- Taking ownership of the Airbus AR/VR suite by developing product strategies and development roadmap for future evolutions.

**The skills and experience suited to this role**:

- 5+ years' experience working as a Software Developer with experience leading projects.
- Bachelor of Engineering in Software, Electronics, Avionics or Bachelor of Computer Science or compatible discipline from nationally accredited program or equivalent
- Understanding of AR/VR technology and development tools and products.
- Understanding of Systems Engineering principles including ability to develop system requirements specifications
- Willingness and ability to lead, develop and mentor less experienced engineers in their areas of expertise
- Able to prepare and review technical documentation
- Strong customer-service mindset and stakeholder management skills and ability to work constructively/productively with customers both internal and external
- Confident and open communicator with the ability to convey messages clearly, concisely and persuasively
