**ABOUT US**

Great Ocean Road Resort is one of Victoria’s premium conference venues, just 30 minutes from Geelong and perched on the iconic Great Ocean Road. Offering boutique accommodation and 5 flexible event spaces, the venue is entirely customisable for conferences, executive meetings, corporate retreats, team building experiences, seminars, and workshops. We also operate 2 sister properties with the capability to host groups and events - Anglesea Riverside Motel, and the newly opened Sunnymead Hotel in Aireys Inlet.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We are looking for a dynamic self-starter to join our friendly and supportive team on the Great Ocean Road. You will be responsible for converting leads and tracking events enquiries across our properties, as well as planning events and coordinating conferences, retreats, weddings, leisure and social groups.

You will:

- Prepare event orders and coordinate all aspects of events
- Liaise with other departments regarding event and conference requirements
- Meet with the client and hand over on-the-day to the Front of House Supervisor
- Communicate with clients and conduct post event follow-up and invoicing
- Quote on new business, assist in reporting event sales, and maximise opportunities to upsell
- Conduct site inspections for any clients with MICE potential
- Any ad-hoc duties related to onsite events and event sales

**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**
- High attention to detail and exceptional time management skills
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Suite of products)
- Self-motivated and takes initiative
- Friendly and positive attitude, with a strong customer-service focus
- Proven ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Occasional availability to work out-of-hours
- Prior experience in a hotel, venue, resort, or events environment is highly desirable

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
