**Overview**

The Principal Policy Officer is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of managing policy and priority strategies for the Mental Health and Wellbeing Directorate of Wellbeing SA. The Principal Policy Officer works collaboratively with the teams and other management staff within the Directorate and across Wellbeing SA and with key external stakeholders.

The incumbent is responsible for the provision of specialist advice and analysis to support the successful implementation of priority strategies for the Mental Health and Wellbeing Directorate of Wellbeing SA.

The Principal Project Officer will work in partnership with a range of external stakeholders, including other government departments, non-government organisations, local government, private enterprise and the community for the successful delivery of priority strategies.

**Criminal History Screening Requirement**
- National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)

**Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category C (mínimal patient contact)**

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
