A new position has been created for an enthusiastic Team Leader to manage the day to day functions of the Property Services team. Working in a collaborative team you will have the opportunity to put your highly developed organisational skills into action to support the team with regards to all property matters. Essential:

- Relevant Tertiary qualification in Property and/or Property Valuation such as Land Economy, Conveyancing, Diploma or equivalent
- Registered or licensed under relevant legislation.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating complex and sensitive property matters.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a team or others effectively and efficiently to ensure desired outcomes are achieved in a political environment.
- High level understanding of the relevant legislative provisions relative to property including leasing of land, land acquisitions, compulsory acquisitions, hardship claims, purchase, and disposal of property.
- Demonstrated experience in reviewing, negotiating, and drafting legal instruments/agreements relevant to property including sale contracts, leases, and licenses.
- Excellent verbal and written reporting skills.
- Current Class C drivers’ license and ability to inspect property.

Desirable:

- Native Title Manager qualification or ability to obtain qualification.
- Experience in Project Management.
- Local Government experience.
- To meet Council’s WHS requirements and in accordance with Council’s Covid-19 Safety Plans, this position has been identified via risk assessment to be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or provide evidence of an approved medical contraindication. If a medical contraindication certificate is provided, it will be assessed against a risk assessment and the decision of whether Council accepts the medical contraindication certificate, will be based on operational needs._
