**About the role**

We are excited to welcome a Head of Security to lead Melbourne & Olym pic P arks security function and emergency management preparedness for our precinct wide and event specific requirements.

As the Head of Security you will play a key role ensuring that our people, guests, and stakeholders are safe and secure at all times. This critical role is responsible for leading the organisation's security culture and emergency management planning and capability.

Reporting to the Director of Precinct Operations & Australian Open and with team leadership responsibilities, you will play an integral role in the operational planning and delivery of each Australian Open (AO).

Development of world class security capability
- Through the development of a Security center of excellence, you will work closely with key stakeholders in the business to build world class security standards and practice, build deep functional expertise with M&OP’s precinct and event security workforce.

Leadership of M&OP’s security function
- Lead the contract management of M&OP’s security provider ensuring a strong partnership is developed and KPI’s are consistently met.
- Lead, promote, implement, monitor and drive a positive security culture and awareness across the Precinct

Ownership of Emergency Management Preparedness
- Ensure Emergency Management plans are in place and continually reviewed and refined to ensure they are fit for purpose and incorporate a best practice approach
- Build emergency management capability including building training and preparedness across key role and the business as a whole.
