What you’ll be doing:
With a focus on observations, monitoring and maintenance of all generation plant and systems, this role holds responsibility for the electrical maintenance, instrumentation and equipment required to meet our power stations operating objectives, including:- Maintain work areas to expected standards of safety and cleanliness ensuring potential hazards are dealt with prior to commencing work, or when leaving work areas unattended- Maintain and keep secure and in good working order, all hand tools and trade tools used on-site or in workshop areas- Actively contribute to knowledge and skill development within the Team, by sharing information and identifying areas for improvement in how and when routines are performed.

About You

With direct experience in maintenance of power generation assets, high voltage electrical assets and preferably infrastructure

and industrial knowledge, you will:
- Perform routine and breakdown maintenance as well as inspection and monitoring of assets. Install and commission plant as required.- Prepare work records and reports including input into SAP.- Receive Access Authorities as requested and progress to Recipient In Charge (RIC)- Conduct Hazard Risk Analysis and Job Safety Analysis, ensure Safe Access Rules are followed and participate in Toolbox and safety meetings.- Supervise service providers/contractors to ensure work is conducted to an appropriate standard and in a safe manner.

What you’ll bring to the table:
With a basic understanding of the use, operation and maintenance of a power station to ensure cost-effective efficient, reliable and safe operation, you will possess excellent communication skills including the ability to confidently engage and build relationships with people at all levels.

You have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated to work autonomously and be willing to collaborate as part of a team.- Electrical trade qualifications and a current electrical licence. Advanced qualifications are highly desirable (Instruments and controls)- Strong safety awareness and proven safety record- Experience in a heavy industry environment and high voltage- Hazardous area certification and experience is highly regarded- The ability to work well in a team environment and independently- A positive approach to supporting and coaching apprentices- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders on technical matters- Adaptable to adjust to competing work priorities- Experienced in the use of MS Office products and an integrated IT System and CMMS such as SAP- Willingness and the ability to work reasonable overtime hours as required- Elevated work platform - desirable
