We are currently looking for a **Workplace Relations Consultant** to join the People & Culture Team
The **Workplace Relations Consultant **is responsible for ensuring genU meets its minimum statutory requirements in relation to a varied & diverse workforce; assisting in setting genU's Workplace Relations strategy & future direction; and creating relationships that will lead to overall business success.
Some key accountabilities of the **Workplace Relations Consultant** **include:
- Ensuring we are upholding the commitments of Agreements, Awards and Contract terms
- Provide expert level advice about award and agreement coverage, interpretation, and minimum entitlements
- Provide expert-level advice on workplace relations law updates and changes, including working to implement new law/policies
- Participate in enterprise agreement negotiations
- Contribute to the development, review and adherence to Employment Policies that are in line with Employment Conditions or underpinned by National Employment Standard minimums.
- Contribute insight, trends and data to Executive and Board reporting.
**_This is a full-time, ongoing position with a hybrid office / work from home model with occasional office visits to Geelong._**
**About You**:
To be successful in this role you will be degree qualified in Human Resources/Workplace Relations or related discipline.
You will also:
- Have at least 5 years’ experience managing the workplace relations compliance function in a professional B2B environment
- Demonstrated business challenge / opportunity identification, as it relates to EBAs or terms of employment
- Strong negotiation skills with an ability to influence through business, commercial and workforce impacts
- Demonstrated development and embedding of a modern Employment and Industrial Relations strategy in complex and multi-location and multi-agreement environment
- Passionate about imparting knowledge and growing others in their WR/ER careers
- Experience managing and leading projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated with excellent time management skills
