APS4 Actuarial Analyst

**Overview**

Our client is seeking an APS4 Actuarial Analysts. This is a team membership position that will work within defined parameters relating to their area of responsibility. The position will provide operational and administrative support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge in areas and may undertake some research and analysis activities.

The team also is responsible for the overall monitoring of the Scheme and producing the quarterly actuarial reports, and for provision of special purpose reports at the request of the Board, its subcommittees, and the public data release schedule.

**Skills and qualifications needed for the role**:

- Relevant quantitative degree in actuarial studies, statistics, engineering, mathematics, econometrics, computer science or related field
- Experience is not essential but attention to detail and willingness to learn is needed.
- Knowledge of statistical techniques and methods
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Adaptable and responsive to a continuously changing environment
- (Desirable) Experience using SAS (preferred)/SQL/R/other programming languages and/or analytics platforms desirable, as well as experience working with large datasets.

Length of Contract:12 months contract
