**About the Department of Education**:
The Department of Education is committed to ensuring Queenslanders have the education and skills they need to contribute to the economic and social development of Queensland. The Procurement and Facilities Services Branch is responsible for providing corporate leadership, governance and procurement services that efficiently support departmental operations to align with the department's Strategic and Corporate Procurement Plans and achieve the objectives of the Queensland Procurement Policy.
About the Role

**Responsibilities include**:

- Undertake procurement processes (eg Tenders and RFQs) including initial planning, development of documentation and establishment of contracts, ensuring compliance with state and departmental procurement policy, achievement of desired business outcomes and delivery of value for money.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and submissions to key stakeholders and clients. Contribute to negotiations with suppliers and liaise with personnel both within and outside of the department.
- Liaise with internal clients to determine requirements and progress of procurement projects, and external contractors in the conduct of less complex procurement projects.
- Contribute to the development of local desktop guides on processes within the procurement section including procurement procedures and template documentation such as invitation documentation and evaluation plans.
- Analyse procurement matters, identifying and assessing options and recommending strategies to resolve issues.

- Strong time management and ability to manage competing priorities within tight timelines
- Positive team player willing to work autonomously and also part of a positive team

- Hold a Certificate II in Procurement or higher
