**About the Role**:
We are seeking **Field Technicians** who are passionate about technology, thrive in dynamic environments, and want to be part of a forward-thinking company transforming the way people connect to the internet. As a Field Tech, you’ll be hands-on with the latest networking and fiber optic technologies, working on-site at MDUs, and playing a key role in expanding our network. You'll help install and maintain our cutting-edge internet infrastructure, ensuring customers receive the highest-quality service possible.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Network Installations**: Install backbone equipment, including 60GHz mmWave wireless backhauls, fiber networks, and WiFi 6 routers at MDU sites.
- **Customer Connections**: Set up in-unit internet connections, including running cables, configuring equipment, and installing customer-specific WiFi 6 routers.
- **Maintenance & Troubleshooting**: Conduct regular site inspections and resolve network issues, ensuring optimal performance for customers.
- **Equipment Management**: Track and document installation and maintenance tasks using our proprietary Graphr platform, including recording device MAC addresses, IP information, and other network details.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with our engineering team to provide feedback from the field, ensuring our network continuously improves.**Onsite Installations, Maintenance, and Repairs**: Perform installations, maintenance, and repairs of high-speed Internet services in multi-tenant buildings and individual customer apartments.
- **Quality Standards and Procedures**: Adhere to the Company’s quality standards, policies, and procedures.
- **Customer Interaction**: Address customer questions and concerns with a courteous and professional approach, including discussing equipment placement, cable routing, and paperwork completion.
- **Configuration and Setup**: Perform basic configuration and setup of routers, switches, and Network Termination Devices (NTDs) in multi-tenant buildings.
- **Backhaul Network Maintenance**: Maintain and repair network outages in the backhaul network.
- **Network Performance**: Identify and address potential performance bottlenecks in the network.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Complete all necessary installation and repair paperwork, detailed activity logs, and other required reports and documentation.
- **Troubleshooting**: Troubleshoot and resolve physical layer problems with radio frequency (RF) links and IP network issues.
- **Tools and Gear Preparation**: Determine the necessary tools and gear for scheduled installations and ensure they are on site.
- **Site Clean-Up**: Ensure cleanliness post-installation by removing boxes, cable pieces, and gyprock dust.
- **Safety**: Safely climb ladders and work in elevated positions as required.
- **Issue Response**: Provide prompt responses to network issues and conduct preventative or proactive network repairs outside of normal business hours when required.
- **Communication**: Notify appropriate parties immediately of any issues that may affect efficient operations.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Experience in telecommunications or networking, particularly in fiber optics, PoE, and WiFi 6 technology.
- Hands-on experience installing and maintaining RF equipment, including Point-to-Point (PtP) and Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP) wireless links.
- Familiarity with tools like crimpers, network testers, and basic diagnostic equipment.
- Basic understanding of networking protocols and equipment configuration (experience with VLANs, IP addressing, and routing is a plus).
- **ACMA Open Cabling License** (mandatory).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues independently.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical details to customers and collaborate with internal teams.
- Driver's license required as you will be traveling between sites.
