- Drive consistency in economic analyses via effective integration and compliance with given standards, guidelines, and processes (Models; Evaluations; Oil, Gas and CO2 project screening values; Investment hurdles; Cost guidance; Planning requirements; Reserves etc.) to enable reliable comparison of opportunities.
- Prioritise assigned workloads, potentially from multiple clients and timely delivery of fit-for-purpose deliverables.
- Formally sign-off on opportunity economic models and provide supporting input to broader aspects of valuation assurance.

Functional
- Stay integrated with economic activities, best practices and lessons distributed across the Australia Economics community and partner with various data providers and key stakeholders.
- Drive and/or support economics discipline improvement efforts (Decision Analysis; Standards and Guidelines; Tools; Assurance; Skills; Knowledge Management; etc.)
- Balance cost, speed, and quality of economic products to match specific decision (fit-for-purpose).
- Align with stakeholders to meet short-term project needs while building long term functional health.

In this role, you are expected to perform with a high degree of independence, seek out and reinforce best practices, work on complex or less structured opportunities, mentor junior staff and provide leadership wherever necessary to champion improved ways of working.

**What we need from you**

To succeed in this role, you will have the following:

- Degree in Engineering, Geosciences or Business with direct experience in gas and power value chains strongly preferred

- Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills aligned with global Best Modelling Practices and Standard Modelling Framework expectations in the Economics discipline
- Commercial acumen

- Willingness and capacity to dive into analytical details, and surface with crisp summary of key insights.
- Results-driven team player comfortable multi-tasking in a diverse and fast-paced work environment across multiple projects; must deliver high quality results on tight timelines, while working effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
