IT Risk and Assurance Analyst

- Level 6/7: $83,130 - $102,937 + 17% Superannuation

The Risk and Assurance Division sits within the Strategy & Assurance Portfolio. Its purpose is to facilitate UOW’s Risk Management, Business Continuity, Internal Audit and Compliance functions to support the delivery of UOW’s strategic plan.

The purpose of this position is to assist the University’s Risk and Assurance function and provide an integrated IT risk assurance and compliance capability to the University and its controlled entities (when required). This includes interpretation of risk assessments; evaluating the design adequacy and operating effectiveness of controls in place to mitigate risks; analysing and administering the University’s Enterprise Risk Management System (Protecht), and its workflows; supporting the coordination of the University’s Business Impact Assessments; and administration of the internal audit function for IT audits.

The position plays a key role in educating stakeholders in relation to IT risk (e.g. Technology and Cyber) and promotes the use of the relevant policies and procedures designed to reduce and better manage IT risk. It has responsibility for ensuring the stakeholders of the organisation understand and comply with the risk management frameworks and practices.
