Job Title: Technical Support Lead

Reports to: Reginal Technical Manager

Department: Customer Success Technical Support (CSTS)

Job Purpose

The appointee will be accountable for the delivery of professional services to customers, either internally or externally, and is expected to travel within Australia.

Principal Accountabilities
- Communicate the value proposition of our solutions to prospective clients at presentations, workshops, industry events, and seminars.
- Engaging with prospects in order to comprehend their individual needs and problems and then conceiving corresponding technical solutions.
- Preparing and presenting technical proposals to tackle specific prospect requirements or issues.
- Provide exceptional, professional, and informed consulting services both internally and to AVEVA's clients.
- Supply clients in Australia with product support as required.
- Deliver product-specific training in accordance with AVEVA's global training protocols, both in AVEVA training centres and at client locations.
- Develop technical abilities within the primary domain as well as other AVEVA product areas to aid in the expansion of the technical team.

Important Working Relationships
- Develop strong working relationships with clients and give the highest level of customer service and professionalism at all times.
- Sales: Work with the sales team to discover opportunities, provide technical support at all levels of prospect engagement, and ensure that suggested solutions are feasible and in line with AVEVA's strategic objectives.
- Technical: Demonstrate adaptability in the usage and development of personal and technical abilities in order to maximise the effectiveness of the team.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
- Technically competent in the understanding of Integrated Engineering & Design.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate the needs/problems of prospective customers with little guidance.
- The ability to effectively manage and handle multiple and possibly competing commitments simultaneously.
- Proven customer-facing skills and the ability to present complex technical solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of expertise with the tools required to fulfil the obligations of the specific assignment.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Proven 5 years or more experience of AVEVA products or similar technologies.
- Proven 5 - 10 years or more knowledge of the plant engineering, design, procurement and construction business either from an owner-operator or an engineering contractor background.

In addition, the following will be beneficial:

- Knowledge and understanding of plant engineering and design processes.
- Proven experience of AVEVA products or similar technologies.
- Basic English would be an advantage.
- Knowledge in programming. Exposure to PML and/or C# would be an advantage.
