South Melbourne, Australia Half Acre Full time

Half Acre is a cool curated garden eatery for people to connect with friends and family, or professionals alike. Located in South Melbourne on the grounds of the Old Mill, our 120 seat restaurant provides a unique indoor/outdoor environment with a wood-fired oven, charcoal grill and open kitchen. We serve lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Sunday.

As a key member of the restaurant team, you will offer your experience and industry insights to ensure that best practice always comes first, as well as role modelling Half Acre’s mission and values in all aspects of the work that you do.

**What will you do**:

- Manage guest communication, reservations, large groups and event inquires, act as the initial point of contact for queries and requests.
- Provide clear and accurate daily, weekly, monthly service and event reports along with kitchen worksheets when required.

**You'll have**:

- Previous restaurant experience.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficient ability across all technology and platforms, such as SevenRooms, Lightspeed, Marcello, and Function Tracker
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to make reasoned decision at mínimal notice.
- Ability to plan, strategize and execute plans and service.
- Continuous Drive to improve.
- Collaborative and creative leadership skills.

**We are looking for a Reservations & Events Manager who will**:

- Manage communication between guests, kitchen and clients.
- Enjoy training, motivating and developing team members
- Create a positive and productive work environment and ensuring superior guest service and compliance with quality and operational standards
- Drive continuous improvement in all reservation and event procedures, processes and client engagement.

**This is a hands-on role requiring evening and some weekend availability.**

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
