**The Opportunity**

The Shared Services Branch is made up of the Financial Operations, Payroll, Procurement and HR Helpdesk teams. Financial Operations provides enabling services to PM&C and the National Indigenous Australians Agency which include accounts processing, debt management, credit card administration and travel helpdesk support.

We are seeking a high performing, experienced Assistant Director for the Financial Operations team to develop staff, improve processes and provide support to the Director.

This recruitment process will be used to fill current and future vacancies (ongoing and non-ongoing) across the Shared Services Branch. A merit pool may be established and used to fill the same or similar vacancies for 18 months from the date of advertising.

Ideally, you will have experience in a Financial Operations environment, have excellent attention to detail and the ability to pick up processes and establish relationships quickly. Existing knowledge of Expense8 and Technology One is required.

To be successful you will possess:

- Financial Operations expertise: Experienced in the areas of accounts payable and receivable processing/management, debt recovery, credit cards and travel.
- Leadership experience: An experienced team leader with proven capabilities and the ability to develop, motivate and support a multi-skilled team.
- High analytical skills, resilience and be outcome focussed: A problem solver, with dedication to assisting our customers in a timely manner, able to manage competing priorities and the ability to identify and implement improvements within the section or more broadly.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills: A strong communicator, able to collaborate successfully with colleagues at all levels of the department and externally.
