**About the role**

We are looking for multiple Youth Residential Care Workers on a FULL TIME or CASUAL basis to provide a safe and nurturing home environment to children and young people living in our Family Group homes. Make a difference in children’s lives by providing day-to-day care as part of a therapeutic care team working closely with the Senior Case Manager.

We have casual roles, as well as full time positions which are live-in and consist of 24-hour shifts on a rotational roster over a fortnightly period. The roster will be a consecutive 7 days (Monday to Monday) on and 7 days off.

As the Youth Residential Worker, you will care for up to 4 children and young people in the home.

**About you**

Along with prior experience we are looking for passionate and caring people who have the skills and knowledge required to work with this amazing client group. Your key experience will include:

- A relevant TAFE or Tertiary Human Services qualification in family and community studies is desired
- Experience in a similar role working with children or young people
- Knowledge and understanding of issues related to children and young people who have experienced trauma, attachment and relationship difficulties
- Knowledge and understanding of child development issues and the care needs of children and young people living in out of home care
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of children and young people of whom are experiencing low mental health complexes, including self - harm and suicidal ideation
- Flexibility and the ability to work across multiple locations
- Provide First Aid certification
- Ability to obtain a Department of Communities Record Consent Check (395) Clearance and Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Driver’s Licence and National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
