Our client works collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including the Commonwealth, states and territories, other health portfolio agencies, health professionals, aged care providers, researchers, industry groups, and the general community.

**Your new role**

The Classification Manager reports to the Director, Classifications and supports all components of classification development and refinement. This includes the technical development of classifications and associated data and metadata specifications. Additional responsibilities include managing relationships with key stakeholders, project and program management and supporting operational requirements of the associated work program

The Classification Manager's role is to:

- Support the Director, Classifications in regard to the delivery of classification development work program and all other matters as they arise, including developing and refining the activity based funding classifications and managing procurements and contracts.
- Develop jurisdictional, Pricing Authority, advisory committee and working group papers and correspondence within the timeframes determined by the Chief Executive Officer and the Executive Director, Hospital Policy and Classification.
- Establish and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- At least 3 years’ experience in a Senior position, demonstrating expertise and technical knowledge in specialist area across a range of programs or activities for the agency
- Demonstrable experience of managing and leading staff
- The ability to make decisions using good judgement, expertise and knowledge
- Manage relationships with stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals
- Perform independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant program activities
