**About the role**:
Reporting to the Commodities Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the road and rail logistics for Norco’s commodity trading division, and ensuring the efficient and cost effective transportation and delivery of all commodities throughout QLD and NSW. As this is a customer facing position, strong communication and customer service skills are key to being successful in this role. Attention to detail and the ability to accurately report and analyse data are also essential as you will complete the necessary documentation and prepare reporting. You will be working with a small, hardworking and passionate team based in Toowoomba.

**What are the Logistics Coordinator’s key responsibilities?**
- Coordinate all stock movements for the commodities division, ensuring all deliveries are fulfilled as per contract specifications and costings
- Establish and grow strong relationships with a wide range of clients and transport operators
- Ensure we achieve vehicle utilisation whilst operating in accordance with fatigue laws and Norco’s Chain of Responsibility requirements
- Prepare accurate documentation and reporting, including sales and purchase contracts, delivery documents, position reports, invoicing and monthly KPI reports
- Maintain relevant databases such as customer data, transaction records and freight information using Norco software
- Identify opportunities to improve our current logistics processes and procedures
- Contribute to Norco’s commodity trading strategy

**Skills and experience required to succeed**:

- Previous experience in a logistics position, ideally in the grain industry or an associated field
- Qualifications in logistics or related discipline desirable but not essential
- Understanding of Chain of Responsibility within transport highly advantageous
- High level of customer service skills and ability to build rapport with a wide range of clients
- Strong administration skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sound computer skills and the ability to learn new software programs
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work under pressure and meet deadlines

We trade and supply a wide variety of grains and pulses such as wheat, sorghum, barley, maize, sunflowers, triticale, oats, millets, mung beans, field peas, lupins, chickpeas, as well as cottonseed and meal, canola meal, silage, lucerne and cereal hay.
