The Philanthropy Officer provides administrative support for the fundraising activities of the University Advancement Office. This role provides administrative support to the Associate Director, and broader Philanthropy team to help deliver the strategy and objectives of the Advancement Office. The Advancement office is comprised of two pillars, the Philanthropy Team and the Alumni and Advancement Operations team. The Philanthropy team is responsible for philanthropic funding for the University.

The Advancement Officer will be responsible for key areas, particularly coordination and oversight of all donor funded scholarships, payment request, receipts, and critical research about potential funders, including Trusts and Foundations. This role will also provide support for small donor engagement activities such as grant writing, events, stewardship activities and will be required to use the Advancement Office CRM, Raiser's Edge.

**About You**
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
Under the guidance of the Associate Director and line Manager, support donor liaison including:

- Scheduling of donor appointments.
- Supporting donor events
- Donor activities follow up and stewardship.
- Tracking payment requests
- Updated donor records of activities and contact reports.
- Track donor activity and schedule appropriate follow up activity guided by the line manager (moves management processes).
- Liaising between Scholarships Office and Philanthropy Managers representing the donor to provide timely support to offer scholarships to student cohorts.
- Work with the Senior/Philanthropy Manager to ensure the scholarships office has all the information needed to offer scholarship.
- Ability to meet deadlines
- High attention to detail - ability to manage and prioritise competing demands.

**Qualifications**
- Completion of a degree; or completion of an associate diploma and some subsequent

relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
