**About the role**

Seeking an expert **Maintenance Fitter/Welder** for our Box Hill factory in Melbourne to work alongside the Maintenance Engineer. Tired of working in a large team? Work directly with the boss, who is very down to earth and friendly. Finally a role you can enjoy independently

You will enjoy a stable permanent full-time role with a friendly and supportive boss, paid overtime with fuel and phone allowances.

**Key Responsibilities for the role**
- Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment.
- Repair or replace control devices as needed (low voltage)
- Perform work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments.
- Fabricate and modify new and existing equipment
- Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programs
- Conduct adhoc welding and basic plumbing work with all laundry equipment.

In this role, you will work a 38hr week and changing shift schedule and on a rotating weekend.

**Skills & experience**:

- Experience with Pneumatic, mechanics, basic repairs and fabrication.
- Ability to use software to write detailed report.
- Trade certificate is preferred and all rounder skills such as plumbing, welding and operating metal equipment.
- The ability to set up and operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools, and other metalworking equipment.
- Ability to operate or learn quickly how to effectively use maintenance software.
