Hourly rate : $65 - $71 an hour

Location of role : Working from home with 1 day a fortnight minimum in the Parramatta or Elizabeth Street offices.

We are looking for someone who has the experience of building and executing plans for collateral development. It's important that they you are able to be strategic, but also competently and rapidly write content, and also direct the development of digital and video content.

**Primary purpose of the role**

As an EV Content Officer, you will be responsible for creating content development plans, and EV-specific written, visual and verbal media to grow awareness of and participation across all of the EV programs.

The role will take initiative to help these program streams grow their web resources, tools and content to inform a range of stakeholders including industry groups and associations, businesses, local councils, the general public and more.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a passionate group of people managing projects that have tangible, on-the-ground environmental outcomes.

**Key accountabilities**
- Research effective and engaging content ideas to inform audiences on the NSW EV Strategy and our latest program developments, with a customer-centric lens
- Create, edit and proofread written and visual educational content such as case studies of successful program participants, “how-to” guides or videos, fact sheets, webinars and infographics
- Develop content, engagement and communication strategies and coordinate their execution
- Help audiences tackle barriers to owning or operating an electric vehicle with myth-busting and trust-building content that is clear and captivating
- Effective and collaborative internal and external stakeholder consultation and engagement with people of various levels of seniority and expertise
- Lead and direct procurement activities for the outsourcing of copywriting and/ or digital/ video production where necessary

**Key challenges**
- Working collaboratively across the team to find creative solutions that improve program participation and ensure program and organisational outcomes are met
- Proactively exploring content solutions for improving digital channels, creating inspirational, educational, and engaging content within the context of NSW Government communication
- Balancing proactive project management with excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills to deliver creative content with impact
- Exercising sound judgement, ensuring accountability and transparency to deliver accessible information to broad audiences
- Providing accurate and timely advice whilst maintaining compliance and consistency with OECC policy and procedures and legislative requirements

**Key knowledge and experience**
- Ability to create content that translates technical, legal or government processes to a variety of audiences in creative, accessible and engaging ways.
- Understanding and experience working to style and brand guidelines
- Experience in managing high volumes of information whilst meeting predetermined deadlines and defined standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated experience in producing digital content including infographics, video production and writing for the web.
