Our Service Delivery group have an opportunity for a passionate people leader to join their team as **General Manager - Field Services **based in Brisbane, Queensland. This role will see you lead a diverse and multidisciplinary team in continuing to enhance our Service Delivery to provide sustainable operational outcomes while building on our cultural aspirations for our people and our communities.

**The Opportunity**

You will be accountable for the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of maintenance services and minor capital works for the water and sewerage networks and for the resource recovery centres. This includes delivering an operation and maintenance budget of approximately $100M through a combination of inhouse and outsourced maintenance delivery.

Success in this role will be measured by how effectively you lead the team with a constructive culture to deliver on safety, public health, environmental, customer experience, cost, and compliance outcomes. You’ll achieve this through:

- Strong safety leadership, implementing policies for safety, environmental protection, and risk mitigation
- Contributing expertise and creative insights to shape strategy
- Driving business performance
- Developing skills within the team and mentor others across the organization
- Lead projects for transformative change
- Setting and managing budgets in alignment with Urban Utilities strategy
- Develop and deliver contract management strategies and manage strategic contracts
- Drive operational excellence through innovation and continuous process improvement

- Track record of identifying and implementing efficiencies for financial performance and customer outcomes
- Leadership experience in technical teams and complex problem-solving
- Experience in managing multi-disciplined, 24/7 operational functions
- Tertiary qualification in relevant field or equivalent experience
- Valid Queensland C class (or equivalent) driver's license for site visits
