The Gynaecology service provides specialist treatment and care to women requiring gynaecological intervention. The department provides inpatient care to approximately 6,800 women per year, and provides further treatment through a busy outpatients department.

We are seeking gynaecologists with keen interests/skills particularly in AGES level 6 laparoscopic surgery.

Several vacancies/roles have recently been created which are a mix of fixed term relieving cover and ongoing roles in Gynaecology 2 unit and Acute Gynaecology service.

1. Gynaecology 2 outpatient clinics on Thursday morning and/or Monday afternoon (days/cycles to be discussed)

2. Acute gynaecology duties during rostered daytime session, (days/roster negotiable to allow for other commitments)

3. Gynaecology Surgical lists which will involve teaching/training of fellows, Junior Medical and Nursing staff (specific lists determined by available operating schedule and operative skill level)

4. Regular rostered and ad hoc teaching of Junior Medical staff and medical students.

5. Participate in active research projects as stipulated by the Unit head.

6. All gynaecologists employed within these general gynaecology positions will be required to participate in the afterhours “on call” roster for Emergency Gynaecology, the hours which will be proportional to the hours they are employed.

**About you**
To be successful within this role you will need to have:

- Must hold or be eligible for registration with the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
- Level 5/6 AGES equivalent laparoscopic skills
