Opportunity to develop your clinical managerial skills and support clinical team members across all sites in the region within a large Federal Government organisation working with vulnerable people.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Assistant Clinical Practice Manager to join the team within a Federal Government Agency based in Perth CBD. This role will be on a contract basis initially for 12 months and will be an equivalent APS5 level. The initial contract is casual in nature, there are no leave entitlements, however you do work full time hours.

**The Role**:
The Assistant Clinical Practice Manager (ACPM) is responsible for managing the region’s day-to-day clinical support operations and requirements. A main responsibility of the role is to assist the Regional Clinical Practice Manager (RCPM) with the line management and operational supervision of clinical support team members across all sites in the region.

The Assistant Clinical Practice Manager provides support to the RCPM in corporate functions including human resource, property and finance management, quality improvement and assurance activities and clinical support team functions. The ACPM will review and implement processes in alignment with the national standard operating procedures. The Assistant Practice Manager is responsible for the region’s clinical support team training functions and needs and will manage this through the delivery of a national learning and development framework.

**Responsibilities include**:
**Day to Day Operations**
- Coordination of the region’s clinical support team in the delivery of a professional, efficient and welcoming reception service. Monitor and ensure client customer service standards are met by the clinical support team.
- Manage complex client and operational issues escalated from members of the clinical support team and the broader regional team
- Assist the RCPM in managing the human resource requirements across the region including recruitment, on-boarding, induction and off-boarding activities. Including the maintenance of relevant registers and databases.
- Assist the RCPM in the management of corporate functions including property, security, operational resource requirements and finance cross the region.

**Quality Improvement and Assurance**
- Monitor quality of work and conduct quality assurance activities for the clinical support team.
- Assist in managing the operational compliance and audit framework.
- Undertake quality audits in the client management system.
- Coordinate the region’s reporting requirements including data analysis, present data into formats suitable for interpretation, formulate the monthly report.
- Provide advice on how to streamline and improve processes and systems to support administrative activities.
- Participate in a collaborative network of peers to develop and maintain standard operating procedures and training support tools (process documentation and training modules)

**Clinical Support Team**
- Assist with the line management to lower level officers including performance management feedback.
- Coordinate the regional work allocation and priorities across the clinical support team.
- Monitor individual and team training needs and deliver training as required.
- Provide on-the-job support to the region’s clinical support team.

**About you**:
Mandatory Requirements
- Certificate IV qualification or equivalent level of experience in a relevant field (Practice Management, Business Administration, Leadership)

- Strong management and teamwork skills - has an understanding of team dynamics, experience in managing performance and supports productive working relationships to achieve desired results.
- Demonstrated communications skills - ability to engage others in a cooperative manner, experience coaching others to improve, working with others to achieve change and experience in providing training to staff, contractors and providers using a variety of delivery mediums and tools.
- The ability to extract and analyse data, compile reports and data presentations and compile work trends and data for individuals and the team.
- Undertake tasks and projects to enhance the quality and consistency of service to clients and operational efficiency and the ability to look for opportunities to improve processes in the clinical support team
- Experience working in a medical or allied health environment in a team leadership role (desirable).
